Who We Are

About Us

Meet the people behind NextWave Aquatics and why we're passionate about helping girls stay in sport through water polo.

Our Story

Born From a Passion for the Water

NextWave Aquatics CIC was founded by Luke and Tamsyn, bringing together experience in water polo, swimming, coaching, primary school teaching and healthcare.

At the heart of NextWave is the chance to be part of a girls’ water polo team: to train together, build friendships and compete together. For girls who already train with a club, we offer additional opportunities to develop their game and represent a girls’ team in matches, festivals and tournaments.

We also welcome girls discovering water polo for the first time, helping them learn the game, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.

The idea grew from a shared concern about girls drifting away from sport as they get older, particularly after leaving swimming. As a community interest company, we work alongside local clubs to give girls in Hampshire more opportunities to play, compete and stay involved in a sport they enjoy.
